Herfast, de Crepon, and Sister of Erchenbald Vicecomes were married circa 975. Erkenbald the Viscount is styled Herchenbaldi avuncular Osberni in the list of witnesses to a charter of 1043. Erkenbald's three sons were, according to several charters of Holy Trinity, Rouen, liegemen to Osbern the Steward. It is reasonable to conclude then, that Erkenbald the Viscount was Osbern's uncle and his sons were Osbern's first cousins.¹

Herfast, de Crepon, died circa 985 at age ~30.
