Chiefs of Scotland's Fleming Clan

The Fleming clan of Scotland was led by 23 chiefs between about 1150 (when clan founder, Bertolf came to Scotland) until the death in 1747 of his unmarried descendant Charles Fleming, 7th Earl of Wigton and 12th Lord Fleming. Accordingly, Scotland's Fleming Clan is now an armigerous clan (one without a recognized chief) until such time as a new chief is officially recognized by Scotland’s Lord Lyon King of Arms.
