Working life
- In 1689 Henry Fleming was occupied as a captain in command of the grenadiers in the Earl of Antrim's regiment at Ardee Castle in Ireland. King James II used this castle as his headquarters during the month preceding the battle of the Boyne in 1690.2
Death
Henry Fleming died in 1690 at age ~35. While this is not a proven fact, he was a member of the force that unsuccessfully defended the castle during the Williamite War. Had he lived, it is likely that he would have been attainted, but there is no record of that.
