William de Mohun and Beatrice le Fleming were married circa 1250. A writ dated 20 Aug "10 Edw I", after the death of "William de Mohun alias de Moun, de Mohon, do Mowon, de Mouhun", names "Reginald his son aged 5 at Christmas next is his next heir...aged 6...aged 7 and more” and records that “Beatrice late the wife of the said William” held Stoke Fleming, Devonshire “in tenancy by the king’s writ until her dower be assigned”. From Inquisitions Post Mortem, Vol. II, Edward I, 436, p. 249.

Beatrice le Fleming possessed inherited estates including Stoke Fleming from her father William circa 1251.

Death

Beatrice le Fleming died circa 1282 at age ~50. Her estates, in including Stoke Fleming, went into the Mohun family as her dower.
