John ("the Pliant") Fleming, 6th Earl of Wigtown, 11th Lord Fleming, and Margaret Lindsay, second daughter of Colin, third Earl of Balcarres, were married on 14 March 1698 in Edinburgh.1 John ("the Pliant") Fleming, 6th Earl of Wigtown, 11th Lord Fleming, and she were divorced on 7 December 1708. Grounds for the divorce were adultery with John Lord Bellhaven.1,2,2
