James Livingstone, 1st Earl of Callendar, possessed sold the barony of Callendar to John 3rd Earl of Wigtown for 29,000 merks and granted a relief of that sum on 11 March 1639 in barony of Callendar.3

James Livingstone, 1st Earl of Callendar, died in March 1674 at age ~84.
