Baldwin le Fleming, 4th palatine baron of Slane, inherited the Fleming estates in Devonshire and Ireland after 1235. These estates may have gone firstly to his older brother Sir Erchenbald (Archibald) le Fleming.1 He possessed was possessed of Hautebray from Henry de Tracy in 1242 at Devon in Hautebray.3 He possessed was possessed of Esse, Hakeston and Duntingthon in the fee of Braneis held by William of London in 1242 at Devon in Esse, Hakeston and Duntingthon.4 He possessed held Wybbebeyre from Nicholas Poulain who held from Earl Richard of Launceston in 1242 at Devon in Wybbebeyre.5 He possessed held Crideho (Croy) in the fief of Moreton from the earl of Cornwall in 1242 at Devon in Crideho.5

Death

Baldwin le Fleming, 4th palatine baron of Slane, died after 1264. It would appear that Baldwin may have other sons, in addition to his hear Richard le Fleming. There were numerous "le Flemings" in Ireland at this time who would have been his unrecorded sons, cousins or nephews.1
