Tweedie James, apparent heir of John Tweedie of Dumelzier, possessed had his charter confirmed by the king, whereby he granted to Andrew Brown, chaplain of the church at Biggar, an annual rent of 10 librarum from the lands of Drummelzier until an amount of 10 pounds has been paid, this rhe result of an arbitration between his father and Malcolm Lord Fleming on 2 December 1531 in Edinburgh.1
