Nicholas, of Biggar, was born circa 1240.
Nicholas, of Biggar, possessed reached an agreement with Sir Robert de Bruce of Annandale for his support in suing Sir John de Bailliol and Sir John of Hastings in relation to tenements held in Garioch on 19 April 1290 in Lochmaben.
5 He possessed had been the overlord of land worth 12 pounds 15 shillings and sixpence annually and owing him the service of half a knight by Sir John of Seagrave and Sir John Baird on 20 January 1303 at Elemston, Strathaven, in Lanark.

Nicholas, of Biggar, died before 13 December 1292. Custody and marriage, &c. are given to the same bishop.
The King and Supremacy of the Kingdom of Scotland to whom &c only Know that we have given & granted the first of the R. of Glasgow the marriage of Marie, who is the wife of Nick de Biger, deceased, who held the royal dignity of Scotland in the head. We have also given & granted to the same the custody of Margie & Alde, two daughters & heirs and partakers of the inheritance which is due to Nick and in addition the custody of two parts of Trae, who are the heirs of the same Nick, Margie & Alde, contingent on the inheritance due to him & assignees of his with the advocators of the church & others to the custody of that property, until the legitimate age of the child, together with the marriage of the same heirs without payment — in which &c.
Lanarkshire - He died previous to 1292, leaving a widow and two daughters co-heiresses, as in that year Robert, Bishop of Glasgow obtained from Edward I. of England a grant of the marriage of Marie, who was wife of the deceased Nicholas of Biger, who held of the king in capite, and of the ward and marriage of Margerie and Aide, the daughters and heirs of the said Nicholas (Rot Scot, I., 14). By marriage with one or other of these young ladies, mo^ probably the elder, the barony of Biggar passed into the possession of the family of Fleming.
