Working life

  • In 1571 Agnes Fleming was occupied as maid of honour to the queen in Sheffield. Robertson -
    Lord and Lady Livingston shared the Queen's prison at Carlisle and at Bolton in 1568, and at Tutbury in 1569. The name of * My Lady Leuiston, dame of honour to the Queen's Majesty/ is the first on the roll of Mary's servants at Sheffield in 1571. It contains also the name of her husband, * My Lord Leuiston.'
