Property

William Crichton, 5th Lord Sanquhar, possessed had a charter of the king to himself and his wife Elizabeth Fleming for Glenquhorre, Over Lefane-loane, Nether Libere, Overmanis de Gavillus, Coggisfute in the Barony of Sanquar in Drumfeis on 24 March 1541 at Barony of Sanquar in Drumfeis in Glenquhorre, Over Lefane-loane, Nether Libere, Overmanis de Gavillus, Coggisfute.2 He possessed had a charter of the queen for the dominical lands of Kynowle called Bernehill, with the mansion, meadow, gardens and orchards on 6 February 1549 at Perthshire in Kynowle called Bernehill.34

Death

William Crichton, 5th Lord Sanquhar, died stabbed to death at Governor Arran's home allegedly by Robert 4th Lord Sempill before 24 June 1550. Robert Sempill was 3rd Lord Sempill. He had lots of children from several wives. His daughter Janet was married to William Fleming of Barrochan (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Fleming-10848) and another daughter was reputedly married to an Alexander Fleming - https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sempill-185,1,6,7
