Hugh ("son of Simon son of Bertolf"), of Dalnottar, was born circa 1190.

Property
Hugh ("son of Simon son of Bertolf"), of Dalnottar, possessed received many gifts of land from King Alexander II between 1214 and 1249.
1 He possessed was granted as Hugoni filio Simonis the lands of Dalnottar (DNB) and Blairmore by Malcolm, son of the earl of Lennox between 1225 and 1235 at Dunbarton in Dalnotter and Balmore.
2,1 He possessed King Alexander II confirmed a grant by Malcolm son of Maldoven Earl of Lennox to Hugoni filio Symonis of the lands of Dalnotter and Blairmore (now Braidfield or Dalmuir) on 15 June 1235 in Dalnotter and Balmore.
3,1 He possessed was summoned as Hugonem Flandrensem by the archdeacon of Dunblane to attend the King at Dumbarton re Dalnotter circa 1274 at Dunbarton in Dalnotter.
4,5 He possessed was mentioned in a charter as owning Kynmunchayr circa 1274 in Kynmunchayr.
