A charter was made on 17 Jun 1508 that let the prebendary of Alncrum to Master James Stewart and his successors, describing it as "a tenement, with garden and pertinents, built by the late Mr Michael Fleming, lying on the north side of the church of Glasgow, between the great garden of the archbishop and the place of the vicars". This shows that one of the prebendaries had a house and garden on the north of the cathedral, and that it stood between the palace garden on the west and the " place " of the choral vicars on the east. (It is now probably underneath the Glagow Necropolis.) One of the assenters was Malcolm Fleming, vicar clergy of the choir of Glasgow.8,9
