Thomas Fleming, of Kilmalcolm, possessed acquired these lands in legal enforcement of a debt of 2000/-/- owed to him by James Fleming of Kilmalcolm after 4 November 1567.1 He possessed was required to produce before the Privy Council documentary evidence of his right to tenure at Kilmalcolm on 30 April 1576 in Kilmalcolm.2
