Sir David Fleming, of Monycabock, and Elizabeth Drummond, G-grandmother of Henry Stewart Lord Darnley, were married circa April 1482. Crawford says that he died after he was contracted to her, but implies that the marriage didn't happen due to his premature death.1,2

Sir David Fleming, of Monycabock, possessed had his sasine for these lands broken by John, Lord Kennedy on 3 January 1480 in Thankerton.34 He possessed was granted a ratification charter of the lands and baronies of Lenzie, Cumbernauld, Biggar, Thankerton, Monycabo, part of Lour and part of Dunbulls on 24 October 1480.1,5,6,7 He possessed was granted a charter by King James III of all of the lands recently forfeited by his grandfather on 24 October 1480.4 He possessed obtained instruments of sasine for investing him in the barony of Lenzie and the lands of Cumbernauld Castle and the forest thereof on 2 December 1480 in Lenzie.44 He possessed had a charter of the baronies of Lenzie, Cumbernauld, Biggar, Thankerton and Monycabo in 1486.8 He possessed was mentioned in a charter as a former holder of Balhousy before 3 March 1489 in Balhousy.91011,121,131,14

Death

Sir David Fleming, of Monycabock, died between 1486 and 3 March 1489. I think Balfour Paul has done a typo, 1482 instead of 1492.1,8,7,15,16
