marriage contract dated 29–31 January 1603 between:

As part of the settlement:

The lands of Thankertoun and Kers were
sold to Robert Seton in liferento

🔁 Subsequent Sale and Redemption Clause (1611)•
In 1611,
Alexander Seton of Foulstruther sold the same lands to
John Fleming, Earl of Wigtown, and his heirs.

reserved the right of redemption to Fleming and his heirs for 7,000 merks.

Letters of assedation (leases) were granted to John Fleming.
