James Fleming, of Bord, possessed had a precept of clare constat as grandchild and heir of William Fleming of Bord, from John, Lord Fleming on 30 April 1506.1 He possessed had resigned part of these lands subsequently granted by the king to John Stirling of Cragbernard before 31 May 1508 in Glorate.2 He possessed had reversion rights from John Murray to these lands and the lands of Bord upon payment of 237/-/- on 9 April 1511 in Nether Auchinreoch in the barony of Auchtermony.3 He possessed he had a discharge under the signet of all unlaws (lawlessness) due by his father on 21 July 1513.1 He possessed was mentioned as a former landowner in a charter of the king in favour of Walter Chapman, burgess of Edinburgh on 1 August 1513 in Edinburgh.4

Death

James Fleming, of Bord, died in September 1531 at age ~42.5 He had his estate probated on 3 October 1531 in Bord. A. E. 40m. N. E. 106l. 13s. 4d.5
